Admission Requirements

Admission Process
Medical Office Specialist
- Complete a Data Sheet and have a personal interview with an Admissions Counselor.
- Schedule and complete Wonderlic verbal skills entrance exam. The results must demonstrate a 12th grade reading level for acceptance.
Medical Assistant
- Complete a Data Sheet and have a personal interview with an Admissions Counselor.
- Schedule and complete Wonderlic verbal skills entrance exam. The results must demonstrate a 12th grade reading level for acceptance.
- Criminal background check and drug screen will be required after enrollment in order to participate in internship assignments
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Complete an application for the Practical Nursing Program and have a personal interview with an Admissions Counselor.
- Take the HESI A2 Entrance Exam (registration information will be provided by the Admissions Counselor) Scores will be used to rank admission to the program
- Provide official High School/GED and any Post Secondary School Transcripts
- Provide 2 letters of reference (from past employers, professionals in business, government or educational occupations, community leaders, etc. No reference from a family member will be accepted)
Additional documentation that will be required during the admission process:
- Satisfactory health history and physical examination report from a licensed medical provider. The examination report must indicate that the medical provider approves the practical nursing candidate to perform functions of the practical nursing occupation.

Program Objective
Medical Office Specialist
The Medical Office Specialist program equips students with the essential knowledge and skills needed to succeed in a healthcare office setting. Courses cover medical terminology related to body systems, diagnostic procedures, and treatment methods. Students will learn the fundamentals of Medical Coding, including CPT and ICD-10 industry standards, and gain hands-on experience with Medical Billing processes, including working with major insurance programs and filing claim forms. This program prepares individuals for a variety of administrative roles in medical offices, hospitals, and healthcare organizations—such as patient billing, front desk reception, claims processing, and general office support.
Medical Assistant
Medical Assistants play a vital role in today’s healthcare teams, supporting both administrative and clinical functions. This program trains students to perform essential clinical tasks, conduct routine laboratory tests, and assist physicians during patient examinations and treatments. Graduates are prepared to pursue employment as medical office assistants in physicians’ offices, clinics, and a variety of healthcare settings.
Licensed Practical Nurse LPN
The Practical Nursing program prepares students with the knowledge and hands-on skills needed to practice as licensed practical nurses in a variety of healthcare settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, extended care and rehabilitation centers, clinics, schools, private residences, and group homes. Through a combination of classroom instruction, lab work, and clinical experience, students build a strong foundation to meet industry demands and are fully prepared to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN®).
